There are also a bunch of secret files in the game folder too and that require you to set your PC's clock to a specific time to open and I think that's required for 100% completetion. I got mine after I save and quit after I wrote the first poem in act 2 then launch the game again a couple times. Just keep quitting (just to the virtual desktop is fine) and relaunching DDLC until you get it. For the one about randomly opening the game, I assume it's last one in the secret section that you can get during act 2 (after the game start glitching) by exiting to virtual desktop and then starting DDLC and there will be a chance to trigger an ending scene. There is one that tells you stare and you have to wait until something appears to have the poem registered. I tried reloading just act 2 but always get the same poems. It's completely random and what you get from each playthrough is determined when you first start the game after each reset so it will take a while. Reset the game after you got 3 secret poems from act 2 and fast forward through the entire game again until you get all 3 then rinse and repeat until you get all of them. The emails seem to have a lot of extra lore/metanarrative stuff, hopefully that’s hinting at future projects. I really hope we get more DDLC in the future. Other than that I loved basically all of it. I also wish we got more poems woven into the story, but I guess that might conflict with DDLC in that it seems like the daily poems are a new thing that only started when the player joined. But maybe that’s just a factor of seeing new content in a years-old game, the new stuff just sticks out more. I guess my only critiques would be the CGs didn’t seem as polished as the ones in the main game… can’t put my finger on it. I think it goes to show how well conceived the original DDLC was, even with it all just being a vehicle for the horror stuff, that they were able to feel so naturally fleshed out in the side stories. I have more of an appreciation for how the club dynamic functions with all four of them where they are. Overall it was just nice to see her depression be talked about openly and honestly.Īside from Sayori I’m also really glad we got more time with the other girls, especially Monika (who gets to be a character in the universe proper rather than just a crazed AI), but also with Natsuki and Yuri, and those two specifically without the trappings of a dating sim where the emphasis is on romancing them.

Her line to Natsuki “I am not my feelings” hit really hard, as well as tying neatly into the theme of that story.

The note she wrote on Monika’s attempted poem was a beautiful use of the interface. I’d already felt a connection to Sayori from the main game, and more of her was wonderful.
